TNDC LAUNCHES LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) is proud to announce the launch of its new Learning and Development Centre of Excellence— a transformative step in advancing talent development, leadership, and workforce readiness across the organization. As part of this initiative, TNDC has officially established the Career Development Department.

“This initiative reflects TNDC’s commitment to listening and taking meaningful action. We are creating real pathways for Tahltans to grow their careers within the corporation. This is not just a program—it’s a long-term investment in the future of our workforce and the strength of the Tahltan Nation.” —Todd den Engelsen, CEO, TNDC

The Career Development Department is focused on designing and delivering career development programs that support employee growth and long-term success. While the department will initially prioritize services for TNDC’s Tahltan employees, it is open to all staff and supports a broader commitment to building capacity from within.

New Appointments

As part of the department’s formation, TNDC is proud to announce several key appointments:

  • Rochelle Delaronde (Tahltan), previously HR Generalist, has been promoted to Senior Career Development Specialist. Rochelle will lead individual career path analyses, personalized development plans, and the creation of Individual Development Profiles.
  • Savannah Ripper (Tahltan), formerly Administrative Assistant, has been promoted to Human Resource Data Analyst. In her new role, she will track career development progress, program effectiveness, and outcomes to support continuous improvement.
  • Angela Adsit (Tahltan), TNDC Special Projects Lead, has been contracted to support the establishment and implementation of the Career Development function.

These appointments reflect TNDC’s commitment to advancing Tahltan employees into leadership and decision-making roles within the corporation.

Looking Ahead

The Career Development Department will begin phasing in services starting May 12, 2025. It marks a significant step in TNDC’s strategic vision to empower its people and build internal leadership capacity aligned with the needs of Tahltan communities and the industries we serve.
