TNDC Releases Historic 2022 Annual Report

Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) is pleased to release our 2022 Annual Report showcasing our accomplishments of our 2021-2022 fiscal year. The most expansive annual report TNDC has ever produced, this year’s annual report looks back at 2021 accomplishments and looks ahead at the 2022 outlook. These perspectives are reflected in the messages from our Chair and CEO, reports from all areas of our business, including our business partnerships, and recaps our key projects and contracts.

The report also highlights our notable achievements from 2021, which include:

  • Recognized as the Biggest First Nations Business in B.C. (by number of employees) by Business In Vancouver
  • Reached an employment milestone, hiring more than 500 employees during the year
  • Signed a 3-year contract extension to our master service agreement at Red Chris
  • Became Contract Airport Operator for the Dease Lake Airport and conducted $9 million in major capital upgrades – the most extensive in the airport’s history
  • Finalized fibre optics construction design/build planning, with plans to connect communities and industry

Embracing the theme Pride in Ownership, the report looks back on TNDC’s 35+ year history, charting our journey from a small community owned business into the powerhouse, diversified service provider we are today. The Celebrating Our Success section revisits the impressive milestones and pays tribute to the many individuals whose contributions have helped TNDC achieve everything it has.

Today, TNDC generates tens of millions of dollars in revenue, employs hundreds of people (the majority Indigenous), and works with international mining companies and service providers. Over the past three decades, we have played an instrumental role in the development of Northwest British Columbia. The future is equally promising. With several strategic business plans in the works, TNDC will continue to be a substantial player in creating growth and prosperity for the Tahltan Nation.
