TNDC Expands Team With Safety Coordinator and Human Resources Appointments

Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) is pleased to announce the appointments of Mr. Dwayne Day to Safety Coordinator and Ms. Andrea Louie to Human Resources Supervisor. The appointments of Dwayne and Andrea to these leadership roles supports the pursuit of TNDC’s strategic goals in key growth areas.

Dwayne will work with management, company personnel, clients and other stakeholders to advance and implement a TNDC Health and Safety Program that promotes a strong safety culture across the company and compliance at all operations. Andrea will play a vital role in contributing to the strategic development and implementation of TNDC’s human resources strategy, including recruitment, planning, staffing and training, and adherence to labour relations practices and personnel manual procedures. Both Dwayne and Andrea are returning to TNDC, having worked for the company in past positions.

“We are pleased to welcome Dwayne and Andrea back to TNDC in these roles. As TNDC’s operations grow, building a dedicated team to execute a robust health, safety and environmental program and a skilled, experienced, committed and engaged workforce are top priorities. Dwayne’s extensive health, safety and environmental (HSE) knowledge and credentials, combined with his experience in heavy construction and TNDC’s operations, will be valuable in fulfilling TNDC’s HSE goals. Andrea’s comprehensive experience across TNDC’s operations, including finance and accounting, camp services and human resources, will be highly beneficial in expanding and developing TNDC’s workforce to grow operations,” said Peter Arendt, CEO of TNDC.

  • Sodexo Canada has been a partner with TNDC since 2002, providing complete camp management through Spatsizi Remote Services. During this time we have worked on many projects, and employed many Tahltan members. It’s been very positive, and the business relationships have formed long lasting personal and business friendships.

  • TNDC is a great place to work. The atmosphere in the office is friendly, open, and honest, and there is always humour and laughter. I like that TNDC maintains an active approach of hiring locally and offers training within that position. Employees are highly encouraged and supported to advance professionally, which ripples into advancing personally as well.
