TNDC’s 30th Celebration A Fun-Filled Community Affair

TNDC kicked off its year-long celebrations to mark its 30th anniversary with a party for the community in Dease Lake at the Dease Lake School soccer field on June 27, 2015. Around 250 people turned out for a day of activities, fun and games, followed by dinner and entertainment.

There were games including roulette, plinko and ring toss for adults and children to win prizes, activities including laser tag, a bouncy castle and other play stations for the kids. One of the most popular – and entertaining – activities was a dunk tank which gave people a chance to sink members of TNDC’s management team into cold water. The attraction raised $500 to help build a new community centre in Dease Lake.

Andrea Louie, TNDC’s accounts payables clerk made a 30th anniversary giant cake. A catered buffet dinner was held in the ice rink, followed by evening entertainment in the school gymnasium which featured performances by a ventriloquist and a magician.

A tremendous thank you to staff from the Dease Lake Samaritans Purse Ministry Centre, which provides a drop in centre and engagement and mentorship programs for community youth, for their help setting up, taking down, and working at TNDC’s event. And a special thank you to Carol Danielson, TNDC accounts manager for planning the day’s festivities, and the TNDC staff for their efforts in planning and setting up, taking down, and working at the event.

Thanks also to a number of TNDC’s business and industry partners for coming out to join in the celebrations, contribute prizes and dunk the management team for a good cause.  Our appreciation as well to everyone who attended for joining us in celebration on our special day.
