TNDC in the spotlight in special Northwest BC publication

Three of TNDC’s employees – Bill Adsit (Vice President, Business Development), Garry Merkel (CEO/President) and Kelsey (Kelso) Marion (a heavy equipment operator) were profiled in the Northwest Connection.

This special publication was produced by Terrace Standard and Black Press to commemorate three major industrial projects in northwestern BC that are going into commission over the summer that are powering the region’s economy – BC Hydro’s Northwest Transmission Line, the AltaGas’ Forrest Kerr run of river project and Imperial Metals’ Red Chris Mine.

Each article discussed a different topic about TNDC while profiling each person:

  • ‘Tahltan company builds connections’ profiles Bill and focusses on the joint venture partnerships TNDC has established in line with our strategic goals (page 14)
  • ‘Stable jobs climate goal of corporation’ profiles Garry and provides a history of TNDC with highlights the services TNDC provides and projects our team has worked on (page 15)
  • ‘You name it, he’s been there’ profiles Kelso’s career and equipment training history and the different projects he’s worked on with TNDC (pages 16/17)

TNDC also placed an ad (page 20) in the commemorative publication, with was distributed to homes, businesses, chambers of commerce offices and economic development offices in the region from Houston to Smithers to Kitimat to Prince Rupert to the Nass Valley and north to Tahltan territory.

The ad and the story coverage were excellent opportunities to raise awareness of TNDC, our people and our capabilities, and the projects we have worked on to citizens and businesses in Northwestern BC, and the resource industry at large.

TNDC has worked on hundreds of projects in Tahltan territory, including the three featured in the publication and AltaGas’ two other run of river projects – McLymont Creek and Volcano Creek.

You can read the stories and see the ad in the online version of the Northwest Connection publication.
