TNDC and the Tahltan Nation Invest in Imperial Metals

The Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC), the business arm of the Tahltan Nation, has invested in Imperial Metals Corporation, the company that owns the Red Chris mine in Tahltan territory. The investment is part of a round of ‘convertible debenture’ financing announced by Imperial Metals on August 24 to maintain and grow the business and advances TNDC’s strategic growth plans to diversify its revenue streams.

TNDC’s 30th Celebration A Fun-Filled Community Affair

TNDC kicked off its year-long celebrations to mark its 30th anniversary with a party for the community in Dease Lake at the Dease Lake School soccer field on June 27, 2015. Around 250 people turned out for a day of activities, fun and games, followed by dinner and entertainment.

Dease Lake, B.C./June 30, 2015: The Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC), the business arm of the Tahltan Nation, marked its 30th anniversary of incorporation on June 26, 2015. To celebrate this significant milestone and recognize individuals who have played instrumental roles in growing TNDC into the successful organization it is today, TNDC has created a special anniversary web page and planned a series of activities and events over the next year, which launched with a 30th birthday party on June 27, in Dease Lake.

Tahltan Chef Red Seal Training Program: A True Partnership

The first four graduates of the Tahltan Chef Red Seal Training Program (TCRSTP) are now ready to take their Red Seal exams to advance their professional culinary careers. TCRSTP is a partnership between the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) and Sodexo Canada that provides an intensive Red Seal Chef training program for members of the Tahltan Nation and select employees of Spatsizi Remote Services (SRS).
