Annual Community Christmas Party a Collective SuccessOn December 9th, 2017, Christmas came early to Dease Lake at the Annual Kid’s Community Christmas Party. It was another successful event, thanks to the generosity of community organizations, industry, the Tahltan Band, TNDC business partners and suppliers. Community members from Iskut, Telegraph Creek, Dease Lake and other locations gathered for an afternoon of fun, games, prizes and visits with Santa. Approximately 350 children, youth and adults turned out to kick off the holiday season. |

Supporting Health and Fitness for Red Chris Camp EmployeesMaintaining a healthy diet and fitness regime can be a challenge for some people working at a remote camp. In addition to providing catering, housekeeping and facilities maintenance services at the Red Chris mine, the SRS-Sodexo partnership is supporting a Quality of Life initiative which is helping Red Chris camp workers improve their health and fitness. Mahmoud (Moe) Asheery is a Sodexo personal trainer available to support camp workers in achieving their health and fitness goals. |

TNDC Drilling Partner Completes First Project With Expanded Drill Rig FleetGeotech, TNDC’s drilling services partner operating in Tahltan Territory, has expanded its fleet of drill rigs with the addition of a remote access helicopter portable sonic drill, and recently completed its first project for SnipGold Corp (SnipGold). The Hydracore Heli-Sonic 4000 (HHS4000) drill is providing a new, efficient method for the investigation of overburden deposits, allowing greater accuracy of field data collection, which is of particular importance to both mining and engineering firms when reviewing deposits as well as planning infrastructure works in Tahltan Territory. |

TNDC’s 2017 Annual General Meeting Provides Updates For Tahltan MembershipTNDC held its 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 3, 2017 in Dease Lake, reporting on its business and operational highlights to its shareholders – the Tahltan membership – and hearing their feedback. The AGM was held on the final day of the Tahltan Central Government’s (TCG) Annual General Assembly (AGA), an important gathering of the Tahltan membership held each July long weekend, which brings together members from inside and outside the territory for reports on the Government’s initiatives on their behalf. |
