TNDC BOARD EXPANDS WITH NEW APPOINTMENTS TO SUPPORT ADVANCEMENT OF STRATEGIC PLAN

TNDC is pleased to welcome Floyd Joseph and Candice Palmer as new members of the TNDC Board of Directors, appointed by TNDC’s Shareholders – the Leadership representing the three Tahltan Governments: Iskut Band, Tahltan Band and Tahltan Central Government. Candice and Floyd bring unique perspectives that will support governance, oversight and execution of TNDC’s mandate and strategic plan, driving the long-term success of the Nation’s business arm.

Floyd Joseph brings more than 40 years of experience in the mining sector on projects across northern Canada, having recently retired after a career that included roles as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, Underground Mine Supervisor, Emergency Protocol First Responder, and Lead Hand. His extensive hands-on expertise and commitment to workplace safety make him a valuable addition to the TNDC Board. During his career, Floyd was an active participant in workplace governance and advocacy, serving on an apprenticeship board, Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, and as union Lead Steward. In addition to being a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic, Floyd obtained several certifications and training, reflecting his deep commitment to technical skill and workplace safety.

With more than 20 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, business operations and leadership, Candice Palmer brings a balanced perspective that combines financial expertise with practical operational insight. Her ability to connect financial strategy with frontline operations provides a valuable perspective on organizational performance and informed decision-making. Candice is recognized for her collaborative leadership style and her focus on achieving practical, results-driven outcomes. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Grant MacEwan University and is currently pursuing her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
