TNDC is excited to announce the winners of our 2025 Quarterly Awards! The TNDC Rewards and Recognition Program celebrates TNDC employees who demonstrate initiative, dedication and commitment to our company and our clients.

We are excited to recognize three TNDC employees with Q2 Quarterly Awards in 2025. These recipients were nominated by another staff member (colleague or supervisor) across three areas. The winners receive a Quarterly Award Certificate and 250 IdeaSource points. Congratulations to the recipients of our 2025 Q2 Quarterly Awards.

Alabama Quock is everything we are striving for when it comes to success from our HEO Program. Alabama has shown she is safe and competent operating our dozers and loaders after completing year two of the HEO Program. She is always quick to lend a hand in training other employees and new hires. Alabama shows up with a positive attitude every day and looks forward to coming back to work every set.

Going Above and Beyond (to solve a problem or get the job done)

Winner: Leah Carlick, Heavy Equipment Operator, Red Chris Wolf Crew

Leah is always willing to switch equipment to best support the company’s needs. One day she can be found operating the loader, and the next she might be in the water truck or rock truck.

Positive Behaviour Witnessed/Outcome:

I’m proud to nominate Ed Asp for the quarterly award, based on my experience with him on May 14 while we were in territory.

Myself and two team members were spending 10 days in the area capturing interviews and footage for a TNDC story. Ed offered to take us on a full-day tour to Telegraph Creek. We’d heard people refer to it as “God’s Country”—but we didn’t fully understand what that meant until we experienced it through Ed’s eyes.

He picked us up at 8:00 a.m. sharp and we didn’t return until nearly 4:30 p.m. Ed set aside his day to personally guide us, and it quickly became clear this wasn’t just a tour—it was a deep, meaningful experience. From family fish camps to sacred rock formations and stories about wildfires and the old mine road, Ed shared a wealth of knowledge and history. He gave us a window into the land, the culture, and his personal experiences.

None of us had ever been that far north, and the day was not just informative—it was emotional. Ed’s pride in where he’s from, his respectful storytelling, and the calm, grounded energy he brought with him turned this into something bigger than we expected. For me personally, it was a spiritual experience. It left me changed.

As if that wasn’t enough, the next morning Ed showed up at our hotel with candied salmon he had prepared himself from the previous season. He told us to enjoy it with cream cheese and crackers—and that night, we did. It was the perfect end to an unforgettable moment in time.

Ed went above and beyond. His humility, pride, and deep respect for the land represent exactly what TNDC stands for. He may have thought it was just a day—but for us, especially me, it was something we’ll never forget.
