Going Above and Beyond (to solve a problem or get the job done)
Winner: Laura Clippingdale, Communications Director
Nominated By: Deena Tokaryk, Communications Manager
Positive Behaviour Witnessed/Outcome:
Since joining TNDC in March 2025, Laura has played a pivotal role in
TNDC’s communications, especially during the most unprecedented and extended busy period in the team’s history. Applying her expertise, Laura assumed creation of branded presentations and materials for board meetings, community townhalls, and new strategic plan. She also assumed the reigns in planning and executing townhalls and TNDC’s 40th Anniversary community celebrations in Dease Lake on July 7th. Despite being thrust into a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, Laura rose to the challenge — managing multiple competing priorities, working extended hours and weekends, and stepping up on-site to facilitate unexpected demands. Her dedication and adaptability were instrumental in the success of these milestone initiatives. Laura truly went above and beyond to deliver on TNDC’s commitments and corporate priorities during this time, ensuring the integrity of TNDC’s brand and reputation for TNDC’s employees and the Tahltan community. Her commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and strong work ethic exemplify TNDC’s values. Her expertise has elevated the TNDC brand and the Communications Team.

It is because of individuals like Stephen that we continue to make progress in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for everyone. His actions are deserving of recognition, and I believe he exemplifies the values this award stands for.
