TNDC Appoints Chief Financial Officer

The Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ron Burton, CPA, CA to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Burton will bring enhanced financial management and accountability, focussed on budgeting, financial reporting and cost control. He will play an important role in advancing TNDC’s strategic goals and pursuit of long-term growth. 

Mr. Burton is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting/Business Management from the University of British Columbia. He has held several senior finance positions during his 30-year career, providing financial management, budgeting, financial reporting and cost control expertise. Most recently Mr. Burton served as CFO of Bear Creek Group, responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance, from 2013 until joining TNDC. Previously he was CFO of Eclipse Geomatics, responsible for administration, accounting and finance. He also served as Director of Finance with Ledcor Group of Companies, responsible for the financial reporting of the Contractors Group and all financial aspects related to Ledcor’s equipment fleets.

“Mr. Burton is an excellent addition to TNDC’s senior management team. His experience in corporate financial management in construction and other industries is directly relevant and applicable to TNDC’s business,” says Peter Arendt, CEO of TNDC.

The CFO position reinforces TNDC’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and supports TNDC’s strategic focus on growing existing business areas and expanding business and services into other sectors.
