TNDC’s 2017 Roundup Reception Cultivates Business Development

In January each year, the Association for Mineral Exploration of British Columbia holds its annual Roundup conference in Vancouver. This event brings together various stakeholders in the exploration and mining industry, which includes mine operators, developers, explorers, service providers, equipment suppliers and government officials. For TNDC, Roundup serves as a valuable opportunity to meet with the various stakeholders who are active in Tahltan territory.

TNDC hosts an annual private reception during Roundup that brings our management, board and Tahltan leadership together with our stakeholders. This function is very important in strengthening partnerships and building relationships.

This year’s reception also served as an opportunity for the TNDC board to introduce our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Peter Arendt, and thank outgoing CEO Garry Merkel. TNDC Board Chair Calvin Carlick and Tahltan leaders, including Tahltan Central Government President Chad Norman Day, Tahltan Band Chief Rick McLean and Iskut Band Chief Marie Quock, welcomed Peter and expressed their appreciation for Garry’s long-time service to TNDC.
